The Wrestling team had an outstanding day on Saturday at the 1st Annual Bob Gay Invitational Tournament finishing in 3rd Place out of 16 teams. Only Brockton and Whitman-Hanson finished ahead of BP.

Essex Tech 4 Southeastern 3
Essex Tech scored with 5:22 left in regulation to spoil Southeastern's bid for a 5th straight Voc-tech title. Nolan Sturdevant had a pair of goals and Thomas Mondeau add a goal before Essex scored the tiebreaker. Jim Cooper had 2 assists and Keagan Bunker and Billy Manning had an assist each in the losing effort. The entire team gave a great effort in an exciting back and forth game for the championship. Ryan LeBaron made 22 saves for the Hawks. The Hawks will take on Danvers in the D3 tournament this week.

Stars of the Day: Bumila leads Bristol-Plymouth boys basketball over Old Colony
Make that three wins out of the last four games for Bristol-Plymouth boys basketball.
The Craftsmen beat Old Colony 57-51 at home in Mayflower League action and are now 9-9 on the season.
Senior Tucker Bumila led the way for B-P with 24 points and 15 rebounds, while junior Billy Donovan had eight points.

Thomas Mondeau led the way with 2 first period goals. Dalton Ghelfi, Bobby Manning and Nick Sturdevant also scored. Nolan Sturdevant registered 4 assists. The defense of Matt English, Keagan Bunker, Thomas Leger and Kacey Brown was stellar in front of goaltender Dylan Quinn(17 saves).

On Saturday, the wrestling team competed in the Division 3 Sectionals at Duxbury High School.
Congratulations to Arthur Ryan and James McDonough for qualifying for the State tournament this Friday and Saturday in Fitchburg by placing 4th in their weight classes.
Congratulations also to Evan Kelleher, Isaiah Aaron and James Schmit who placed 5th and will be alternates.
Overall, the wrestlers placed 8th out of 14 teams.

Having a 1 point lead early in the 4th quarter, the home team was looking good but a 10 to nothing run in the last 4 minutes allowed the visitors the win. Nick Pemberton led the way with 13 points .
